Day 1 – Arusha – Lake Manyara
On arrival at Kilimanjaro airpot, you’ll be picked up by our private driver for the 10 Day Gorillas and Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari. You will be transferred to check in at the booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Pick up from Arusha and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park – a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions (rare), as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.
Arriving in time for mid morning game drive. later on drive to Mto Wa Mbu arriving in time for hot local lunch. Later proceed with a village walk (1-2 hours). You could opt for cycling tour for 1-2 hours. Dinner and overnight as per the standard of accommodation option requested.

After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.

Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages.
We do an after breakfast full day game drive with lunch at the lodge. We will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons – including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink!

After breakfast at the lodge do we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area. We will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of the ’Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. You will have the opportunity to visit a Masai village. Learn their way of life.
We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and spend the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.
After breakfast we descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.
Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Arusha, later continue to Kilimanjaro Airport for your connecting flight to Kigali- Rwanda. Upon arrival you will be picked by our guide who will transfer you to your hotel.

After breakfast, head out for Kigali City Tour. The Kigali City tour offers you the true heartbeat of the city. The nation’s recovery is incredible and a testimony to a dark past but a bright future.
You will visit Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum at Gisozi. Learn how an estimated one million Rwandans were killed in nearly 100 days of 1994 genocide. Learn a story of dark past but bright future. This afternoon, you transfer to Volcanoes National Park driving through stunning scenery of flourishing green hills and valleys. Approximate transfer time: 2 ½ hours approx.

Early morning departure from the lodge to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi for your mountain gorilla trekking encounter. Here you will meet up with excellent park rangers and guides, who will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. After orientation on gorilla trekking rangers at the park headquarters, you will be allocated a gorilla family to visit, we take a short drive to the starting point.
Trekking usually starts at different starting points. The trekking can take from 1 to 8 hours roundtrip and climb to altitudes in excess of 7,500 feet. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is one of the most memorable wildlife encounters in Africa. It is important to take bottled water.
Gorilla trekking is an exceptional once-in-a-lifetime experience. In order to minimize animal stress and exposure to possible human disease, daily visits are limited to 8 people and “only one-hour” viewing a single gorilla family.
Late afternoon, you can choose to either explore the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, where you can learn more about the research works of Dian Fossey and the history of gorilla conservation or Visit the gorilla guardians village, to learn more about traditional cultures, dances and customs of the Rwandan people.
